At Pension Daniel am Arlberg, we pay close attention to the origin of our products when selecting them. We source many of our foodstuffs from producers and suppliers in Lech and the surrounding area. We particularly value the personal contact we have with our suppliers – this means we know exactly where many of our products come from. Bread, cheese and other specialities make for a delightful breakfast.
As hosts, we have close ties to Lech and its surroundings. That is why, when selecting our food, we pay attention not only to its origin but also to its seasonal availability. As a result, different products find their way onto our breakfast table depending on the season. For us, one thing is paramount: great taste and carefully selected products.
Local producers for your enjoyment
- The bread that we offer at Pension Daniel comes exclusively from our baker in Lech.
- Likewise all our dairy products, from the milk to curd, sour cream, whipped cream, yoghurt, butter and cheese, come from producers in the surrounding area.
- We source our fruit and vegetables from Fruchtexpress Grabher. When selecting our produce, we make sure to choose seasonal items.
- We get the eggs "s'Arlberg Ei" from Mario Matt from Tyrol.
- The mountain cheese from Alpe Batzen.
- We purchase sausage and meat from Fleischwaren Borg.
- Wines only come from Austria.
- And we trust our supplier Elsensohn from Lech am Arlberg for all the other drinks.
Beyond the food: bespoke wooden furniture
We also pay close attention to the origin of the materials used in the furnishings of our guesthouse. In fact, our senior manager has crafted the vast majority of the furnishings in our bed and breakfast on the Arlberg himself, using wood from the Arlberg.
